create a map with 3 elements, add a link between two of them.
edit the link and set both endpoints to the 3rd element. "apply" can be clicked and does not produce any error, dropdowns show both endpoints as being the same, even though link properties do not.

might be solved by ZBX-3004, but a proper operation in this case should be verified anyway
