if filter is being edited in some page that has refresh enabled, partial changes can easily be lost - reload kicks in while the editing is happening and after reload all changes are lost.
i'm not sure whether this is possible to do technically, but it would be nice if reload would be suspended if :
+ calendar popup is open;
+ some period parameters have been changed, but are not yet confirmed by clicking on "filter"
