Currently item values have to be send to server/proxy according to 'Monitored by proxy' setting in respective host configuration.
It would be really nice if there is a way to feed suitable host items (e.g. trappers or a new item type) from one source/host (via one proxy) regardless of target host's proxy setting.

This functionality might be valuable in environments where hosts with different setting for 'Monitored by proxy' exist.
Wherever one can evaluate data for many hosts and want them be located in their corresponding Zabbix hosts , this functionality could help.

A use case for example might be a computer backup system that can be queried to list the last backup status for every host.
Now if one wants to send this status to an item belonging to its corresponding host in Zabbix, one has to send data according to the host's 'Monitored by proxy' setting.
This can be acceptable up to a few proxies but is out of question having lots of them - beside the fact that the sending host has to be able/allowed to access every proxy

I have absolutely no idea how this should be implemented (at leeast without deep cuts).
