Would be nice if monitoring of items can be disabled on host interface level.
A disabled interface should overlay item status settings instead of changing the configured item status in database.
Maybe by setting items status to disabled in configuration cache only.

In case there would be an optional alias per host interface like mentioned in ZBXNEXT-735, mass update functionality could then be easily implemented based on such aliases.
