Ability to create complex discovery rules, consisting of a few basic rules and variables (macros), containing data obtained as a result of working of these rules could be named {#SNMPVALUE}, {#SNMPVALUE1}, {#SNMPVALUE2}, {#SNMPVALUE...}. This would allow to fine-tune the rules and to discover only the necessary data that would save system resources. This would be a great addition to the "Filters" tab in Zabbix 2.4.
