In ZBX-3021 (https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-3021) the option to create a trigger dependency between a template and a host trigger was removed from Zabbix.

In my environment I monitor my customer hosts in a ACTIVE way, so I just receive data, I have one trigger to each customer with nodata function to monitor if I still receiving data from the customer host. The problem is that if my internet link goes down, I get a alarm for each customer in dashboard.

Until the 1.8.2 version, in my template, i had a trigger dependency with a host trigger, this host trigger just ping www.google.com, so, if my internet link goes down I just receive one Alert, for example, "Link to Internet Down" and not one to each customer, for example, "No data received from host.customer.com for more than 10 minutes".

I think that trigger dependencie between a templante to a host trigger is necessary.
