Hi Guys,
Considering the evolving and impacting role of Zabbix in comprehensive/enterprise monitoring solutions, introducing a 'Downtime Calculator' feature in ZBX 7.x could be a game-changer. By allowing users to input the 'estimated cost of downtime per service' in a user-friendly admin (or BSM) area (Zabbix FE), we enable a strategic, data-driven approach.
This feature aligns with industry best practices, such as those highlighted by Atlassian (check it out here: https://www.atlassian.com/incident-management/kpis/cost-of-downtime). The goal is to not just detect issues but to quantify their financial impact, empowering users to make proactive decisions.
Having a dedicated widget or internal metric to display this 'estimated' value (calculated by Zabbix Server considering alerts tagged or correlated) within Zabbix would set ZBX 7.x apart, showcasing its commitment to comprehensive and proactive monitoring solutions.
What do you think about this impactful feature?
