 Description   

Summary

Currently it is not possible to select problems having no specific tag or having no tag  with specific value in problem view. It can be solved by supporting negated filtering for tags.

Acceptance

  1. Zabbix must support new operations in addition to existing "Contains" and "Equals" operations in tag filters :
    1. Does not contain: check that tag is absent or tag value does not contain specified value (if the value is not empty)
    1. Does not equal: check that tag is absent or tag value does not equal specified value (if the value is not empty)
  1. It must be implemented for the following pages:
    1. Monitoring → Problems
    2. Monitoring → Hosts
    3. Monitoring → Data overview
    4. Monitoring → Trigger overview
    5. Monitoring → Latest data
    6. Monitoring → Screens
    7. Monitoring → Maps (host and host group elements)
    8. Configuration → Hosts
    9. Configuration → Items
    10. Dashboard widgets: Problem hosts, Problems, Problems by severity

Use cases

  1. I want to see only problems having no tag "Test"
  1. I want to see only problems having tag "Service" not equal to "Cloud"

1) It seems that the ZBXNEXT-4237 (and, probably, ZBXNEXT-5218 also) describes the same problem. There may be a duplicate.

2) "Fix Version/s: 5.4 (plan)". Does it mean that it will NOT be backported to the current LTS version (5.0.x)?

  • You are right, ZBXNEXT-4237 is duplicate issue.
  • ZBXNEXT-5218 is a bit about different thing. ZBXNEXT-6376 doesn't affect tag filtering in user groups.
  • Yes, this feature is going to be implemented in 5.4 only. No backport to 5.0.x.
